Younger Than Today – Retro Kids Book Illustrations
What a wonderful collection we have for you today….. Kids book illustrations from the 60’s and 70’s, mainly mid to late 60’s, and by various artists, which we may feature in more depth in the future. But for now, we just thought we’d round up a few great examples, and share them with you.The artists were obviously living in the same 1960’s as everybody else, and the sounds, fashions and outlook were reflected in their artwork. I don’t think you get many kids books today warning you ‘not to tell the authorities’ that you were ‘growing grass!’.
The imagination, and playfulness of the subject, produces some great results, and most of these designs I would quite happily frame and stick on the wall. We hope you enjoy them as much as we have.
