Groovy Kitchen Appliances of Science Adverts
Previously we’ve featured some bold and brassy seventies kitchens in Home Cookin, this time we turn our attention to kitchen appliance adverts from the mid-sixties to the early eighties.
As you can probably guess these ads predominately show ladies at work in the kitchen. Although a young man does make an appearance in the Hamiltons washer and dryer advertisement.
Amongst our Kitchen collection we have some space age fridges promoted by girls with fish bowls on their heads, Mrs Nat King Cole plugging the Sears Coldspot fridge and an interesting 1980 advert for a pre-internet fridge from Australia called the “Email”.
