Soul For Sale – Sixties Record Adverts
As fans of soulful sounds, we got quite excited when we came across this brilliant selection of record adverts on photo sharing site Flickr. Member Tim the Mod has painstakingly scanned and uploaded over 350 various Soul, Jazz, R&B and Rock record adverts from the Sixties.
We’ve picked out 20 of our favourites, which took a bit of time and effort as there are so many good ones to choose from. Amongst our pickings are Northern Soul classics such as Little Carl Carlton’s – Competition ain’t nothing, Dusty Springfield’s version of What’s it gonna be and Picture me gone by Evie Sands.
If you’re a fan of the genres of music we’ve previously mentioned, we strongly recommend you take a trip over to Flickr and browse through all 363 Soul Ads, you won’t be disappointed.
