Cosak – Tailoring Into The Space Age
“Cosak is the kind of cloth the world of tailoring has dreamed about” In 1967 woolen merchants Dormeuil limited spent around £100,000 (over a £1 million today) on an advertising campaign that promoted a brand new durable material that was twice the strength of Mohair – Cosak was a blend of 55% Terylene and 45% Mohair.
Here we have a few of those adverts starring a well-dressed jet age gent in a suit and a swinging sixties astro girl in various mini skirts. These ads originally appeared in Tailor and Cutter magazine, check them out – they’re outta this world.
