Trade Your Soul

1960s, Music • 4959 Views • Comments Off on Trade Your Soul

This groovy set of soul and funk trading cards first turned up while we were browsing around the depths of Pinterest. The retro style cards were created by Dublin based freelance designer and illustrator Niall McCormack, who also designs record sleeves, book covers and posters.

Mixed in with the likes of James Brown, Martha Reeves and The Isleys Brothers, there are trading cards picturing lesser-known artists such as Funksters The Meters, Northern Soul favourites Howard Tate and Maxine Brown and George Clinton’s pre Funkadelic band The Parliaments.

If you want to see more of  his work take a soulful strut over to the Niall McCormack website for more excellent illustrations and designs.
