Good Afternoon Grapple Fans – British Wrestling Posters
Before Sky Sports and football took over the World to become the financial juggernaut they are now Saturday afternoons were a different proposition altogether. Grandstand on BBC1 would show rugby league or horse racing but proper sports fans were glued to ITV where grown men in leotards were being abused by handbag-wielding grannies determined to put right the injustices on display.
Welcome to the world of pre-WWF wrestling where Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks ruled the roost while Kendo Nagasaki scared small children.
We recently stumbled across this stash of old wrestling posters from back in the day and what a treasure trove they are. Alongside the usual suspects who knew that Tiger Woods was wrestling back in the 1980s?
Check the posters out below- we love em.
